The DAISYII Incubator has been subjected to rigorous testing over a broad range of sample types. Results can be determined for In-Vitro True Digestibility, Apparent Digestibility, Rate studies, Neutral Cellulase Gamanase Digestibility, and other related studies for all feeds and forages.

The DAISYII employs filter bag technology, which encapsulate samples and prevent filtration errors. Filter Bag Technology also enables batch processing of 100+ samples at a time.

SOLID STATE REFERENCE ELECTRODE 12MM KCL/NaCl

The E8197, E8198  is a unique solid state Reference electrode which requires no maintenance and no filling solutions.

The probe is compatible with all pH and Ion Selective electrodes and can be used for lab and field applications including constant immersion.

This probe has a polymer outer body and a crystalline tip surface that slowly leaches KCl (E8197), NaCl (E8189) to provide a stable reading with the appropriate sensing electrode.

The tip can be rubbed down to expose a new surface when required.

The probe can be left dry when not in use and is ideal for use with ISE half cells which are also solid state and can be left dry.

SINGLE JUNCTION GEL FILLED AG/AGCL REFERENCE ELECTRODE

A glass bodied reference electrode half-cell with a 12mm body.

Silver/Silver Chloride reference electrodes require separate pH (E8082) or Platinum Redox half-cell for use.

The Reference electrode is an Ag/AgCl system with a Teflon Disc junction. The electrode is particularly robust and maintenance free. As a result the this electrode will leach out KCl into the sample solution but is able to withstand significant sample pressure due to its solid gel filling and internal expansion inserts. For applications where Chloride leakage is not acceptable  you should use a double Junction reference electrode.

Separate reference electrodes are superior to the reference half cells found in combination electrodes as they have a larger reservoir of filling gel /solution and therefore a faster flow rate of electrolyte through the junction which provides faster response and greater stability. The EDT Silver/Silver Chloride reference electrode has several advantages over a standard Calomel electrode. Firstly it does not contain Mercury and can therefore be used in a wider variety of applications. Secondly Ag/AgCl references have greater stability at higher temperatures and can withstand analysis of hot samples.

Finally the large contact surface area of the Teflon Disc Junction provides excellent stability and blockage resistance for applications that are too aggressive for standard reference electrodes

For Applications using Tris Buffers use a Calomel or Double junction reference electrode.

The EDT Silver/Silver Chloride reference electrode comes with a 4mm connector (2mm connector available on request) and is compatible with all types of pH electrode. Calibration is usually made between two buffer solutions.

SILVER/SILVER CHLORIDE REFERENCE ELECTRODE – AG/AGCL

A glass bodied reference electrode half-cell with a 12mm body.

Silver/Silver Chloride reference electrodes require separate pH (E8082) or Platinum Redox half-cell for use.

The Reference electrode is an Ag/AgCl system with a ceramic reference junction. The electrode is refillable with Potassium Chloride ( KCl) saturated with Ag/Cl filling solution. As a result the this electrode will leach out KCl into the sample solution. For some applications e.g. Chloride, Potassium or Nitrate analysis this is not acceptable. In such cases, or if there is doubt you should use a double Junction reference electrode.

Separate reference electrodes are superior to the reference half cells found in combination electrodes as they have a larger reservoir of filling solution and therefore a faster flow rate of electrolyte through the junction which provides faster response and greater stability. The EDT Silver/Silver Chloride reference electrode has several advantages over a standard Calomel electrode. Finally the internal silver wire occupies little space in the chamber which allows for a larger volume of electrolyte leading to less frequent filling.

REPLACEMENT REFERENCE ELECTRODE FOR S2K922 AND S2K712

Reference electrodes have a finite lifetime caused by reference junction blockage or loss of electrolyte.

The S2K922/REF is a replacement electrode for when calibration becomes impossible or results become sluggish.

Simply pull out the old electrode and replace. The black o ring seal will ensure that the unit will retain its water resistance to IP67 standard.

Remove the red dot from the ceramic tip for operation. The reference Junction is close to the Chip sensor on the meter which allows measurement of small volumes as low as 1 drop.

After use replace the protective cap.

FLOW PLUS REFERENCE ELECTRODE

A junction free, chemically resistant Reference Electrode which can be completely disassembled and cleaned or decontaminated.

This electrode is ideal for applications that cause electrode junction blockages,  measurements of slurries, pastes  or any other viscous material or where contamination of standard reference electrodes is likely. The 5094 Flow plus Reference electrode flow rate through the liquid junction can be altered to suit the severity of the application.

The electrode is easily taken apart for maintenance and cleaning and then re -assembled ready for use.

The electrode can be stored dry and does therefore not degrade over time or leach out filling solution. Physical and chemical cleaning is possible without damaging the performance.  Electrode performance and stability is often superior to standard reference electrodes as there is no porous junction material. The filling solution flows slowly through a cone shaped liquid junction providing excellent contact with the sample.

Flow Plus reference electrodes can be used with any half cell pH or Ion Selective Electrode. Filing solutions to match each type of application are available. The most common however is KCl.

The electrode is filled through a side fill hole. Pressing the cap opens the liquid junction and releases a small amount of filling solution. This therefore replenishes the reference junction and removes local contamination. After use the electrode is emptied, rinsed and left dry in it box.  The electrode lifetime is significantly extended over other Calomel, AG/AgCl or double junction electrodes in awkward applications.
